Calgary Herald (May 5): Slow progress on energy pact risks 'letting this opportunity pass Canada by,' oilsands producers warn

"The Oil Sands Alliance, which represents five of the country’s largest oilsands producers — including Suncor Energy, Canadian Natural Resources and Cenovus Energy — pointed out no other major exporters of heavy oil face such an industrial carbon tax, stressing it will limit the sector’s ability to expand and attract investment."

"Politicians who use terms like "futureproofing" and "social license" display a dangerous level of energy ignorance. The world is begging for more Canadian energy and not a single purchaser cares about a barrels carbon footprint. Time to move on from economic self-flagellation!!!" - Eric Nuttal on energy minister Tim Hodgson

The best thing for Alberta is separation. Carney's MOU is only useful at the bottom of a birdcage. Canada won't let Alberta obtain its full potential, but once shed of the Ottawa anchor, Alberta will get rid of all the Canadian governments investment killing policies and become an energy power.

Why would any company or corporation want to invest any more in a losing proposition. Is having cleaner LNG not a better proposition than Venezuela’s or Africas’s heavy oils.

Is Carney purposely sabotaging Canada to clear the way for Chinese investments.

At this point this is not even a.question. It’s a reality.

We need drastic change now before it really is too late.

Yes, “Carney purposely sabotaging Canada” is a reality. Given he is making closed-door deals with the CCP and EU, and directing policy via executive orders to sidestep parliament, it is near impossible for anything to check his powers. And he has bought legacy media who now serve as the government’s propagandists - and we only know the facts the Liberals care to share with the public after the fact, if at all. Sadly, we’re along for the ride…
