I hear Freeland state on TV that she and Carney are friends and she has been consulting him, including during her time as Finance Minister. Is Carney the reason we have the economic policies we have in place today?
Carney and Freeland are following the same WEF playbook. They were colleagues on the WEF board. But they also have a close personal relationship. Carney is the godfather of at least one of Freeland's children. They talk freely and I suspect they have talked often through the last few years when Freeland has served as Finance Minister.
